**Brief Description:**  In this lesson, students will learn to write and evaluate matching expressions and exponential form involving whole-number exponents.

**Know Before You Start:** Students should be familiar with simple whole-number exponents.

**Hook:**

- Read and discuss the sample comic. Solve each expression.

**Activity:**

- Using the sample comic as a guide, have students create a four-panel “Exponent” comic.

**Closure:**

- Have students share their comics with the class and explain how they solved each expression.

**Differentiation:**

- Allow students to use the speech-to-text feature.
- Allow students to use the voiceover feature to read their comics aloud.
- Allow students to work in pairs or groups as needed.
- Allow students to use a calculator or multiplication chart. 
- Adjust the level of difficulty based on student needs.
