  • Read and discuss the sample comic.

  • The teacher should point out that the comic does not feature a STEM career, but rather explains how STEM relates to the chosen career.

  • Students will create five-to-eight-panel comic discussing and explaining the following:

    • Their chosen career.

    • Why they want that career.

    • How STEM is related to the career.

Closure: Students will share their chosen career and how it is connected to STEM.


  • Provide examples of STEM careers students can choose from.

  • Allow students to use the speech-to-text feature as needed. 

Provide sentence stems e.g., I want to be a ____. I want to be a ____ because ____. STEM relates to the career because ____.)
